Cyclist Michael Rasmussen faces media over drug tests
Tour de France cycling leader Michael Rasmussen will face the press on Tuesday's rest day and will probably be asked why he missed two drugs tests.
The Danish Cycling Union (DCU) revealed last week that Michael Rasmussen had been cautioned for missing two random controls earlier on this year.
British cyclist David Millar is reported to have said: "It is unacceptable that Rasmussen did not give notice of his whereabouts,
"He started the race knowing what would happen but did nothing to rectify the situation and now we are all screwed."
And world cycling chief Pat McQuaid agreed that the rumours and allegations surrounding Michael Rasmussen are bad for cycling's image, but he was keen to point out that: "Rasmussen has not violated any doping rules. As it stands now, there is no proof that he is involved in any doping.
"He has been tested several times before the Tour and several times during it."
Michael Rasmussen has said he just made an error in forgetting to inform anti-doping testers where he was when they were looking for him.
