Cyclist Chris Hoy annoyed by politicians
Cyclist Chris Hoy, who recently won gold at the Olympics, has had enough of politicians, who he feels have tried to "cash in" on his success.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown had spoken of Hoy whilst making a speech at a CBI Scotland dinner on Thursday.
And Hoy said he was also angry about at being in any way implicated in the debate as to whether there should be a separate Olympics team for Scotland.
Hoy explained angrily: "I ride a bike, I'm not a politician. Politicians want to be involved so that they can get some sort of association with your success."
In the past, Hoy has previously made it clear that he doesn't think a Scottish team is a good idea because of the feasibility of putting it together with the facilities for athletes as the situation currently stands.
However, if the people that propose such a team put their money where their mouth is and provide what is needed then he would naturally want to be included in a Scottish team.
