Welsh boxer Joe Calzaghe ready for Bernard Hopkins in Las Vegas
Welsh boxer Joe Calzaghe says he has no worries about going to America and he feels he is ready to take on Bernard Hopkins in Las Vegas on 19 April.
Super-middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe is undefeated in 44 fights but he has only fought outside of the UK on two occasions but he knows what he is up against in his next opponent.
Newbridge's Joe Calzaghe, 36, said: "I have to go there and dominate and that's a difficult task against Hopkins. I'm going outside my comfort zone but I feel I have the personality to adapt to anything. I'm excited about it."
Joe Calzaghe, who flies to Las Vegas on Saturday, has been getting a word of advice from Ricky Hatton who told him to stay away from the Strip's air conditioning units to avoid any chance of catching something before the fight.
Joe Calzaghe explained he hopes to win new American fans and he added: "Every fighter wants recognition not just from his own people but from fans all over the world."
