Welsh boxer Gavin Rees warned by promoter Frank Warren
Boxing promoter Frank Warren has warned Welsh fighter Gavin Rees that he has some tough competition when he takes on Souleymane M'Baye for the WBA title at the Cardiff International Arena on 21 July.
Frank Warren, who actually promotes both boxers has warned Gavin Rees, 27, that he will have to really prove his talent now.
Frank Warren explained: "Gavin's hands are full and his biggest problem is himself. He's a quality boxer and if he showed some discipline he could win the title,"
"He is 26-0 despite some of the crap he has got into outside of the ring.
"But Gavin is fighting the guy Ricky Hatton wouldn't fight. Hatton vacated rather than fight M'Baye."
However, Gavin Rees is confident and believes that the great tradition of Welsh boxing will help him defeat Souleymane M'Baye.
