US boxing legend Bernard Hopkins not afraid of Joe Calzaghe
Legendary US boxer Bernard Hopkins claims he will defeat Joe Calzaghe with ease if a proposed fight goes ahead next year and he clearly shows no fear of losing to the Welshman.
Bernard Hopkins, 42, pointed out again though that he would only face super-middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe, 35, if he comes to America for the fight.
And in a taunting manner Bernard Hopkins said: "Calzaghe is cute, but he ain't going to be cute after this facelift."
Bernard Hopkins is reported to have added: "I love to fight southpaws. I've had 11 wins and no defeats with eight knockouts against southpaws. He's going to run into a bad doctor.
"When I fight Joe Calzaghe, I'm fighting a champion. When Joe Calzaghe fights Bernard Hopkins, he's fighting a legend."
Bernard Hopkins also said he was not interested in taking on London's David Haye, who had won the WBA and WBC cruiserweight titles from Jean-Marc Mormeck on Saturday.
