US boxer Rubin Williams to fight Carl Froch
US boxer Rubin Williams is the replacement fighter to face Carl Froch in Nottingham on Saturday, 10 May, after Russian Dennis Inkin pulled out of the fight.
30-year-old Froch will be making his first appearance since he became a mandatory challenger for the WBC super-middleweight title.
Carl Froch is looking forward to the bout and said of his next opponent: "Williams will be a good test for me. He has already fought two world-class fighters, and he is ready to fight me right now."
However, regarding Dennis Inkin, who had withdrawn from facing Froch for the second time, he commented: "I've heard all of Inkin's excuses - viruses, bad back, etc - and I don't buy it for a second. After doing this a second time, he does not deserve to share a ring with me."
Froch will be on the same bill as WBC light-welterweight champion Junior Witter's fight against Timothy Bradley.
