Troubled boxer Scott Harrison plans his return
Troubled boxer Scott Harrison from Glasgow is planning to make a comeback and to win the title of champion again, and he admitted the last two years had been a waste of his time and a very bad patch.
Scott Harrison, 30, over the last year had suffered depression and alcohol problems, as well as getting in trouble with the law in the UK and in Spain, but he now insists he hasn't had a drink for seven weeks and will be back fighting by January.
Scott Harrison has not been in the ring since he successfully defended his WBO belt in November 2005 against Nedal Hussein.
Last year Scott Harrison withdrew from a title defence against Gary St Clair and then checked into the Priory rehab clinic.
And then Scott Harrison failed to make the weight for his planned fight against Nicky Cook in December after he had been on remand in Spain where he had been in custody over an alleged assault.
Scott Harrison is putting the past behind him and he explained what had happened: "I had a bad break-up with my fiancée, my second kid was just born, and everybody goes off the rails."
