Troubled boxer Scott Harrison misses court
Troubled boxer Scott Harrison missed a court date in Glasgow after judges in Spain, where he is currently in further legal trouble, refused to let him return to Scotland.
Scott Harrison, 29, was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court to face several charges including police assault, which relate to an alleged incident at a bar in Glasgow city centre last April.
Sheriff Alistair Noble adjourned the case until October because Scott Harrison has been unable to leave Spain where he had been arrested last month following a fight in a brothel
Scott Harrison's Glaswegian lawyer Marie Connolly, said: "Mr Harrison is not here because his passport has been kept by that court.
"A hearing called this morning in Spain purely to see if his passport could be returned and to make aware that he has a court case here that he has to attend.
"However, we have found out that his passport has again been withheld."
Scott Harrison is charged with kicking PC Ian Gray after a disturbance was said to have occurred at the Counting House bar in Glasgow city centre, and he is further accused of causing a breach of the peace and resisting arrest.
