Troubled boxer Scott Harrison gets 8-months sentence
Troubled British boxer Scott Harrison has been sentenced to a total of eight months for drinking and driving as well as assaulting his girlfriend.
31-year-old Harrison was given six months after he pleaded guilty to driving while four times over the legal alcohol limit.
Harrison had earlier been sentenced at Glasgow Sheriff court to two-months in jail for assault on his girlfriend Stacy Gardner and attacking a police officer in May.
Scott Harrison also pleaded guilty to the assault charges at a hearing in June.
Harrison was arrested on Friday after being reported for driving erratically in the Gorbals area of Glasgow.
The court heard how Harrison had been drinking pints of lager in Sharkeys Bar since 1700 BST and he was arrested at 2100 BST.
The boxer was also in breach of a night-time curfew, a condition that had been imposed after a previous incident, and sentencing him for drink-driving, Sheriff Lindsay Wood, said: "You were totally devoid of responsibility."
