Tennis star Andy Murray beats Jurgen Melzer
Scottish tennis star Andy Murray has progressed to the third round of the Pacific Life Open by managing to beat Jurgen Melzer.
Andy Murray, 20, had a bye in the first round and lost the first set but despite it not being a good performance he came up with a 3-6 6-3 6-3 victory.
Jurgen Melzer broke twice as he beat Andy Murray for the opening four games but Andy Murray fought back to win the last two sets and goes forward to play against Ivo Karlovic in the next round.
Both Andy Murray and Jurgen Melzer were also annoyed by decisions from the officials in the course of the lacklustre match.
Andy Murray's hopes of success in his current campaign were given a boost when Tommy Haas defeated Andy Roddick, who Andy Murray was going to play in the fourth round.
Andy Murray was satisfied with his performance and said: "I played really well here and like the conditions."
