Scottish boxer Kevin Anderson beat Young Muttley in an incredible comeback

kevinanderson Scottish fighter Kevin Anderson made a sensational comeback by beating Young Muttley and adding the British welterweight title to his Commonwealth crown on Thursday.

Young Muttley, 30, was in the lead for most of the fight in Birmingham with his fierce left hook paying dividends but Kevin Anderson, 23, turned the bout to his favour with a brilliant left hook in the 10th round.

Young Muttley tried to make a recovery but Kevin Anderson kept piling on the blows and forcing the referee to stop the fight.

"This has been my most difficult encounter of my career," said Kevin Anderson.

"Muttley is a very tough fighter and to come back as I did was a great achievement."

Meanwhile, Young Muttley agreed that a short lapse in concentration cost him the fight.

"I tossed the fight away," Young Muttley said. "I was well on top but Anderson is a tough opponent and he took his opportunity."
