Scottish boxer Kenny Anderson turns professional
Commonwealth Games light-heavyweight gold medal winner Kenny Anderson, who comes from Edinburgh, is moving on up to the professional ranks.
Kenny Anderson, 23, is hoping to be in the ring by October and has set his sights high.
"I've done all I can do at amateur level," Kenny Anderson said. "And my style is more suited to the pro-game so the circumstances are perfect.
"I've dreamed of being a world champion since I was a boy but it will have to be one slow step at a time," Kenny Anderson added.
Earlier in March, Kenny Anderson made an impressive comeback by outpointing Nigerian boxer Adura Olalehin and claiming gold in Melbourne.
And Kenny Anderson now hopes he can win the support of Scottish boxing fans.
"Scottish boxing has a bit of bad image at the moment and I hope I can change that," Kenny Anderson continued.
"I'm a good clean fighter, I lead a good clean life and I can bring something fresh to Scottish boxing," Kenny Anderson added.
