Scottish boxer Alex Arthur faces Nicky Cook
Scottish boxer Alex Arthur will be taking on Nicky Cook on 6 September at Manchester's MEN Arena.
The 30-year-old WBO super-featherweight champion fighter will be making his second defence of the belt, although it will be the first time since he was named full champion.
Arthur defeated Koba Gogoladze last July to win the interim belt, and then he went on to triumph against Stephen Foster Jr in his first defence.
Essex-based 28-year-old Cook, like Alex Arthur has only been beaten once in his professional career.
The fight between them will be on the same card as Amir Khan's next bout with an as yet un-named opponent.
Khan has announced an extension to his contract with boxing promoter Frank Warren is expected to name who he will be fighting within the next week.
Promoter Warren thinks that the fight with Cook will prove a real challenge for Arthur.
