Promoter Frank Warren complains about David Haye
Boxing promoter Frank Warren has registered his complaints about David Haye for not showing up at the final news conference for Sunday's world title fight with Enzo Maccarinelli.
London boxer David Haye claimed the rescheduled 1230 GMT conference would interfere with his sleep, sleep that he needed before an early Sunday morning fight.
Enzo Maccarinelli had, however, travelled all the way from Swansea and Frank Warren said: "It is disrespectful of David and his manager Adam Booth, they have let down the fight and promotion."
David Haye, who is on American time after training in America, finally arrived at 1430 GMT and spoke to the press in The O2 Arena foyer.
David Haye claimed that he showed up to neet the press at the time stated in his contract.
But Frank Warren was not satisfied with David Haye's excuses and behaviour and added: "He's in breach of contract, and I've made a complaint already to the Boxing Board of Control. They've got to determine whether there is a breach of contract and what his obligations are."
