Muhammad Ali's in good health despite reports
Former world heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali is doing fine despite reports questioning his health.
Newspapers last Friday quoted an unnamed family friend as saying that
Muhammad Ali, who suffers from Parkinson's Disease, "may only have
months to live."
However, Muhammad Ali's marketing agent Harlan Werner told BBC Sport:
"Muhammad is fine and he has numerous appearances lined up.
"He had surgery on his back and was in therapy for that, but that had nothing to do with Parkinson's. He is fine."
Muhammad Ali won the world heavyweight title three times in a brilliant career that saw him lauded as "the greatest".
Harlan Werner said: "It is disrespectful to Muhammad to suggest that he would not tell the truth about his health.
"Of all the people in the public eye, Muhammad Ali has always told the truth."
Muhammad Ali was named Sportsman of the Century by BBC television
viewers in 1999 and received a similar award from US magazine Sports
Illustrated.
