Michael Hunter beats French boxer Tuncay Kaya and keeps title Michael Hunter has held onto his European super bantamweight title with an excellent performance against French boxer Tuncay Kaya in Blackpool.
Michael Hunter, 28, used his all-action style for wearing down Tuncay Kaya before knocking him out in the ninth round.
It was Michael Hunter's third defence and goes in support his dream of a world title fight.
M;ichael Hunter was the stronger fighter throughout the bout and he defeated Tuncay Kaya with a hard left punch to his ribs.
Michael Hunter is ranked in the top 10 by all four major sanctioning bodies and hopes to move to the next level.
"I can raise my game to world level," Michael Hunter insisted. "Tuncay was up to the European level of fighters and that is what I have to overcome if I am going to go on from here," Michael Hunter added.
"I don't get involved in that side of things, I just turn up and fight who is put in front of me. But I am not scared of anyone - I never have been.
"I will fight anyone, any time. If they bring me a world champion I'll fight him.," Michael Hunter went on to say.
