Matt Skelton may change his style to fight Danny Williams Bedford boxer Matt Skelton says he is thinking about changing his style in readiness for July's Commonwealth heavyweight title rematch with Danny Williams in Cardiff.
Matt Skelton, 39, lost a split decision against Danny Williams in February after a brutal 12 rounds, which saw him use some typically uncompromising tactics, however, after watching the fight again, Skelton admits his "rough and ready style" may not be the way forward.
"I'd like to be a bit more technical, a bit more pure," said Matt Skelton.
"Obviously the decision went against me but I've watched it through and I think there are little factors why the purists didn't see it going my way and I'm going to try to make amends," Matt Skelton explained.
Matt Skelton, who only took up boxing in 2002 following a period of kickboxing in Japan, tried to out-bully Danny Williams in London and was warned for using his head in the opening seconds.
