Junior Witter faces a very tough rival in Vivian Harris
Boxer Junior Witter's promoter Mick Hennessy is adamant that Junior Witter's world title defence against Vivian Harris is going to be a much tougher fight than Ricky Hatton's last bout.
Light welterweight Junior Witter will meet Guyana's former world champion Vivian Harris in Doncaster on 7 September.
Mick Hennessy claims the fight between Junior Witter and Vivian Harris will surpass Ricky Hatton's Las Vegas win over Jose Luis Castillo from Mexico in June in degree of toughness.
Mick Hennessy explained: "Harris is a far harder opponent and a former world champion in this division and big at the weight."
Junior Witter had won the WBC title by defeating American boxer DeMarcus Corley on points at London's Alexandra Palace in September.
Mick Hennessy also said about the forthcoming fight: "Harris is a dangerous opponent and this is a chance for Junior to really make a name for himself in a competitive world title fight.
"This could be an explosive fight and if Junior wins then the public will be demanding a fight between Witter and Hatton like never before, whatever the outcome of Ricky against Floyd Mayweather."
