Irish boxer Wayne McCullough to fight Kiko Martinez
Irish boxer and former world bantamweight champion Wayne McCullough is planning to make his comeback at the King's Hall on Saturday, 1 December when he will face Kiko Martinez from Spain.
Kiko Martinez, who ended Bernard Dunne's undefeated run as a professional boxer in August, will be fighting to defend his European Super Bantamweight title, and the European Boxing Union has been asked to sanction the 12-round fight, which will be held in Belfast.
Irish fighter Brian Magee is also on the bill but his opponent hasn't been confirmed as yet.
Wayne McCullough had been expected to make a return to the ring last June in Dublin, but he chose instead to stay home in Las Vegas due to the doubts he had about a suitable opponent being found.
Wayne McCullough's last fight was a defeat to Mexican boxer Oscar Larios for the WBC super bantamweight title fight in Las Vegas in 2005.
