Irish boxer John Duddy to fight Noe Tulio Gonzalez Alcoba
Irish boxer John Duddy has had a change of opponent for his next bout at the National Stadium in Dublin 20 October.
Spanish fighter Pablo Navascues has had to withdraw due to an injured ankle and Noe Tulio Gonzalez Alcoba of Uruguay has become his replacement for the fight with John Duddy.
And Noe Tulio Gonzalez Alcoba, 28, is a very worthy opponent with an impressive record - his defeat to Felix Sturm in June in a WBA middleweight title fight in Germany was his first loss in 15 fights.
John Duddy has himself been performing well in the ring and he has claimed 21 straight wins. John Duddy's last victory was a 10th-round stoppage win oagainst Italian journeyman Alessio Furlan in July.
Noe Tulio Gonzalez Alcoba said: "I know that Duddy will be a very hard fight but my dream is to become world champion, for me and Uruguay."
