Irish boxer Bernard Dunne beaten by Kiko Martinez
Spain's Kiko Martinez beat Irish boxer Bernard Dunne in just 86 seconds in his third defence of the European super bantamweight.
Bernard Dunne was knocked down to the canvas floor twice within the first minute in the fight which took place in Dublin at the Point Arena, and when Kiko Martinez kept on punching his opponent referee Terry O'Connor had to intervene.
Bernard Dunne has been beaten for the first time in his professional boxing career and his hope for making a bid for the world title is ruined.
By contrast Kiko Martinez now boasts an impressive record of 14 knockouts in 17 wins against rival boxers.
Although Bernard Dunne did look badly hurt after the first battery of punches, Kiko Martinez swiftly followed through by flooring him again with a right.
Bernard Dunne tried to circle the ring and stay oot of the way of Kiko Martinez but the Spanish fighter cornered his rival against the ropes and kept up his onslaught until the referee stepped in.
