Floyd Mayweather beats Zab Judah in chaotic fight
Unbeaten boxer Floyd Mayweather claimed the IBF welterweight title with a unanimous 12-round decision over Zab Judah confirming his reputation as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world.
But the fight was spoiled by ugly problems in the 10th round after Zab Judah had landed with a low blow.
Floyd Mayweather's trainer and uncle Roger Mayweather got thrown out from his corner after he climbed into the ring and allegedly tried to choke the champion boxer.
This caused Zab Judah's cornermen, including Zab's father Noel, to charge into the ring and a riot nearly occurred.
Security and police officers then surrounded the ring when boxing fans threw beer and food and some of the police had their hands poised close to their guns.
Then after several minutes, order was finally brought back and Floyd Mayweather claimed an easy points victory, the judges scoring the fight 119-109, 116-112 and 117-111.
Floyd Mayweather wouldn't call the low blow intentional.
"I don't want to say anything bad about Zab," said Floyd Mayweather.
Zab Judah, whose record now stands at 34-4, declared that the blow was accidental.
"I'm not a dirty fighter. I was aiming at the body. When I did that Roger jumped in and the trainer took a swing at me," Zab Judah said.
The Nevada Athletic Commission is withholding the purses of both boxers and both of them could be fined.
