Floyd Mayweather's trainer suspended over Zab Judah fight brawl
Boxer Floyd Mayweather's trainer and uncle has had his licence revoked after he caused a brawl during Saturday's world title fight against Zab Judah. And the Nevada Athletic Commission also fined Roger Mayweather $200,000.
Roger Mayweather went into the ring in the 10th round after Zab Judah who later lost his IBF welterweight crown on points.
The Nevada Athletic Commission is still considering what to do about Zab Judah for his illegal punches and has so far withheld his purse.
After Roger Mayweather allegedly attacked Zab Judah, Judah's cornermen, including the boxer's father Noel, also got involved and a riot nearly erupted.
Security and police officers surrounded the ring when fans threw beer and food and some had their hands near to their guns.
"When I went into the ring, the round was over, at least I thought the round was over," said Roger Mayweather, who can apply to have his licence back after a year has elapsed.
"I never attacked the fighter. I never put my hands up to the fighter, I never did anything. The fighter attacked me," Roger Mayweather said.
Zab Judah's promoter Don King had asked that the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather, who has now won world titles at four different weights, to be disqualified because of this incident.
