Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao beats Juan Manuel Marquez
Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao has won the WBC super featherweight battle he had with Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas.
Juan Manuel Marquez may have landed more of his blows, but it was still Manny Pacquiao who won in round three by a narrow split decision. Both the boxers, who were fighting each other for the second time, thought they had won the bout.
In fact, Juan Manuel Marquez said: "I still feel I'm the champion."
Judge Duane Ford awarded Manny Pacquiao 115-112 but fellow judge Jerry Roth gave 115-112 for in favour for Juan Manuel Marquez, however, it was Tom Miller who decided on a 114-113 to give the lead to Manny Pacquiao.
After the fight Manny Paquiao said there is no possibility of a rematch again and said: "I don't think so. This business is over."
