Enzo Maccarinelli keen to fight David Haye
Enzo Maccarinelli says he would gladly face David Haye in a unification bout.
Welshman Enzo Maccarinelli, 27, is reported to have said: "It's fantastic news for me, it'd be the best fight in Britain but we'll see if Haye delivers."
WBA and WBC cruiserweight champion David Haye, also 27, had been expected to surrender his belts to switch to heavyweight because of weight problems with the 200lbs limit.
However, David Haye said on Sunday that he is "bending over backwards" to fight Enzo Maccarinelli at cruiserweight and he said: "People keep telling me to fight Maccarinelli and I say I'm not a cruiserweight."
The potential match between Enzo Maccarinelli and David Haye is sure to excite boxing fans, and Enzo Maccarinelli added: "It's a fight all of Britain wants to see and I'd take it in Cardiff, in London - anywhere."
