Clinton Woods' trainer says the boxer is confident he'll beat Glen Johnson
Clinton Woods' trainer Richard Poxon has supported his boxer's bid to establish himself as the number one light heavyweight in the world when he faces Jamaican fighter Glen Johnson on Saturday.
Clinton Woods, 34, defends his IBF crown against Glen Johnson in Bolton having drawn with and been defeated by the 37-year-old in the past.
"I can't tell you how up for this fight Clinton is," said Richard Poxon.
"Johnson cannot outbox Clinton on the jab or at long range. Clinton will shell him from distance all night," Richard Poxon added.
The first fight between Sheffield's Clinton Woods and Glen Johnson ended in a draw in November 2003, although many observers thought Johnson should have won.
Miami-based Glen Johnson came back to Sheffield in February 2004 and took a unanimous decision and the IBF crown.
Glen Johnson defended the IBF belt just once, against Roy Jones, before relinquishing it to fight American boxer Antonio Tarver.
