Cameroon boxer Sakio Bika not scared of Joe Calzaghe
Cameroon super-middleweight boxer Sakio Bika says he is not scared of fighting against double world champion Joe Calzaghe at Manchester's MEN Arena on 14 October.
Sakio Bika, 27, who recently performed well against WBC Champion Markus Beyer in Germany, survived a scorpion sting as a child and says that after that he is not scared of anything.
"Calzaghe's a great fighter but one scorpion bite is more painful than a billion punches from him," he said.
"You can't get closer to death than I did so why should I worry about him?" Sakio Bika said.
Sakio Bika is currently based in Australia and has only lost once in 23 professional fights and the one against Markus Beyer in May was stopped when the German boxer suffered a cut under his eye caused by an accidental head clash.
Sakio Bika claimed that having come so close in his first world title bout, he would not fall short this time.
"I'm not scared to travel and fight an opponent in their own backyard to achieve my dream of becoming world champion," Sakio Bika said.
