Bradford boxer Junior Witter faces DeMarcus Corley at the Alexandra Palace
Bradford boxer Junior Witter's WBC light welterweight title fight against American DeMarcus Corley will finally take place at Alexandra Palace in September.
Junior Witter, 32, will face DeMarcus Corley on Saturday 15 September after a long wait for a second attempt at a world title.
"I always thought my chance would come but it has been immensely frustrating," said Junior Witter.
"I have done the hard graft and now I am ready for the rewards," Junior Witter added.
Junior Witter lost on points to Zab Judah in his last world title shot in Glasgow in 2000 but he has gone on to record 15 consecutive inside-the-distance wins and he became the WBC's number one contender last summer, although a title shot has had to wait as he failed to find an opponent.
The situation became more complicated when champion Floyd Mayweather abandoned the title.
"I have found it very hard to get motivated for fights in the meantime," Junior Witter said.
