Boxing
promoter Don King backs Matt Skelton
Boxing promoter Don King has played down Danny Williams' hopes of a
world title shot but instead he has backed British heavyweight champion
Matt Skelton to shine in America.
Don King wasn't impressed by Danny Williams' win over Audley Harrison
last weekend.

"I don't think the win can equate to Williams being in the top five or six heavyweights in the world," said Don King.
"But I think Matt Skelton is a great prospect so we will see what we
can do with him. (Skelton's promoter) Frank Warren and I can work
together well."
Don King was at ringside in Berlin to see seven-foot Russian giant
Nikolay Valuev dethrone WBA heavyweight champion John Ruiz and he has
been talking about organising a mega tournament between the four major
titleholders to revive interest in the top division.
But he does not see Danny Williams as a key player at the weight.
"Williams holds a victory over Mike Tyson but Tyson had diminished quite a bit," said Don King.
"He won the fight with Audley, but Harrison was not a top heavyweight.
He just had a big name in England because he had won at the Olympics."
