Boxing champion Scott Harrison claims Nedal Hussein is suicidal
WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has called Nedal Hussein's tough talking suicidal.
Ahead of Saturday's bout at Braehead Arena, the confident Australian
challenger claimed that Scott Harrison was becoming "stale and
predictable."
But Scott Harrison said: "He needs to get checked out by the doctor talking like that. He seems suicidal to me.
"If he stands toe to toe with me, he's suicidal. I hope he does, but I can't see it."
The 28-year-old boxer laughed off the Australian's suggestion that he was the most beatable of the current world champions.
"At the end of the day, talk is cheap," said Scott Harrison. "It's what you do on the night.
"I've been champion for three years and I'm 28, so I've seen these
characters shouting their mouths off and then getting in the ring and
me taking them out in four rounds.
"He's got to say he's going to win, but he's going to take a terrible beating - simple as that."
Scott Harrison's manager Frank Maloney believes it will be good news
for boxing fans and bad news for Nedal Hussein if he keeps his word and
goes toe-to-toe with the world champion.
"He is very confident," said the Londoner. "Then, all Australians are.
It's an arrogance they have. It's a very interesting fight.
"I think a full-house and his opponent will bring something extra out of him.
"It will make a great fight for the fans and TV viewers. They're the type of fights Scott Harrison likes.
"Wayne McCullough and Michael Brodie stood toe-to-toe with him and that brought out the best in Scott."
