Boxer Virgil Hill may retire after losing to Firat Arslan
American boxing veteran Virgil Hill has been defeated by Firat Arslan who won the WBA cruiserweight crown with a unanimous points win in Dresden, and as a result of this it is speculated that Virgil Hill may have to retire soon.
43-year-old Virgil Hill, who won his first world title in September 1987, has lost three of his last four fights so his career has not been going well at all.
Turkish-born Firat Arslan gave Virgil Hill a lot of trouble in the ninth and 10th rounds, and went on to win with scores of 118-110, 116-113 and 117-111.
Virgil Hill was left to consider his future as a boxer after being clearly defeated by Firat Arslan, and when questioned about how he saw his future he said: "We're going to look at that. I trained so hard for this fight, I think I need a vacation."
