Boxer Ricky Hatton beats Jose Luis Castillo in 4th round
Manchester boxer Ricky Hatton has defeated Jose Luis Castillo in Las Vegas with a stoppage in round four and boxing fans and critics were impressed with his performance.
Former WBC super middleweight champion Richie Woodhall said that Ricky Hatton, 28, was "phenomenal" in the fight and Barry McGuigan said Ricky Hatton could now choose his next opponent from a very strong position in boxing.
Barry McGuigan added: "The likelihood is a fight against Shane Mosley - that is a fight that can be made very quickly,"
Other boxers being speculated as his future opponents include Oscar de la Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Floyd Mayweather.
Ricky Hatton has become the first boxer to floor Jose Luis Castillo, 33, in his 17-year career.
Ricky Hatton's win could now pave the way for a super-fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"The way I won really sets up possible fights with the likes of Mayweather or De La Hoya," Ricky Hatton said.
And Ricky Hatton added: "I want to be fighting world champions and the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. The bigger the challenge, the better I am."
