Boxer Ricky Hatton aims to fight Oscar de la Hoya
Boxer Ricky Hatton is already lining up a fight with Oscar de la Hoya as he gets set for Saturday's clash with Floyd Mayweather.
Ricky Hatton, 29, wants to take on Oscar de la Hoya, 34, in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley next year, and if he does it will be a fight that could break box-office records.
Ricky Hatton's lawyer Gareth Williams thinks there is a very good chance the fight will happen and he said: "We have strong links with Oscar de la Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions and we've had discussions with them."
Ricky Hatton's camp want the Oscar de la Hoya fight to take place no matter how Ricky Hatton does in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Gareth Williams believes Oscar de la Hoya might be encouraged to come to Britain by the idea of it being a record-breaking fight, which would be bound to get a huge audience and top coverage in the boxing media.
