Boxer John Duddy impresses trainer Don Turner
Boxing trainer Don Turner believes that Irish boxer John Duddy is on course to join the 19-strong list of fighters that he has helped win world titles and he said: "He has what it takes to go all the way to the top."
Don Turner, who trained legendary boxing stars such as Evander Holyfield, Larry Holmes and Mike McCallum, has joined John Duddy's camp in time for his 14 July fight in Dublin.
John Duddy will fight against Italian boxer Alessio Furlan in what will be his first bout in his home country.
John Duddy will be arriving in Dublin this weekend to get ready for his 10-round bout against the Italian journeyman at the National Stadium.
Don Turner and John Duddy have got to know each other well after an intensive training camp in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania.
John Duddy said: "Turner has me doing stuff I did as an amateur like throwing combinations, working on my hand speed, and pressuring correctly."
