Boxer David Haye faces Enzo Maccarinelli
London boxer David Haye will face Welshman Enzo Maccarinelli in an all-British world cruiserweight title fight on 8 March it has been announced.
WBO champion Enzo Maccarinelli held on to his title last month when he defeated Mohamed Azzaoui in the fourth round at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
But David Haye had to get up from the floor of the ring to stop Jean Marc Mormeck in dramatic fashion in the seventh round and to take the WBC and WBA titles in November.
Boxing promoter Frank Warren said the venue is unconfirmed at present but will be announced as soon as it is known.
Of the fight itself, Frank Warren is reported to have said: "If there is one fight I would buy a ticket to watch it would be Maccarinelli-Haye,"
"I'm in the business of delivering big fights and this is certainly a real fight for the boxing fans and media and one that they have been clamouring for."
