Boxer Danny Williams lives in oxygen tent to increase stamina Boxer Danny Williams has been living in an oxygen tent for the last two months in readiness for his rematch with Matt Skelton in Cardiff on 8 July and spends 12 hours a day in the tent in a bid to increase stamina.
The Brixton fighter took a split decision over Bedford's Matt Skelton when they last fought in February.
"It's no fun living in a tent, but if it means I'll knock Skelton out early rather than go through a war again, I'll suffer it," said Danny Williams.
"It's like living half-way up Mount Everest. Because the air is so thin it felt at first like my lungs were on fire and I couldn't breath and it was absolute hell.
"My trainer Jim McDonnell has noticed a phenomenal improvement in my stamina and strength and reckons that the fight won't even go past six rounds.
"Lance Armstrong used this method and it helped him win seven Tour de France titles, so I can't see why it won't help me achieve my dream of winning a world title," Danny Williams explained.
Promoter Frank Warren is lining up the winner of Danny Williams' bout with Matt Skelton for a world title fight.
