Boxer Carl Froch faces Charles Adamu in Manchester rematch
Nottingham boxer Carl Froch will be meeting Ghana's Charles Adamu again in a rematch for the Commonwealth super middleweight title in Manchester on 22 September.
Carl Froch, 29, won against Charles Adamu on points when they first fought back in December 2004.
The fight will take place at the MEN Arena and is being promoted by Frank Warren after he outbid Carl Froch's promoter Mick Hennessy for the rights.
Carl Froch, who has won all 21 of his fights (17 by knockout), is currently recovering after undergoing knee ligament surgery but it is hoped he will be fit again in plenty of time for his next big fight.
Charles Adamu, who is the same age as Carl Froch, has won 15 of his 18 fights (12 by KO), and lost the other three.
Charles Adamu defeated former British champion Matthew Barney to claim the Commonwealth title in 2003.
Charles Adamu won his rematch against Carl Froch in March with a unanimous points victory in a title eliminator bout against Michael Gbenga.
