Boxer Amir Khan charged with dangerous driving Bolton boxer Amir Khan has been arrested and charged with dangerous driving, Great Manchester police have confirmed.
19-year-old Amir Khan was arrested on Saturday at a police station in his hometown of Bolton and this arrest followed another incident in March on Bradshawgate in the same town when a man had his leg broken by a car.
Olympic silver medallist Amir Khan has been bailed by Bolton magistrates to appear in court at a later date.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police, talking about the incident said: "On Thursday 2 March 2006, police were called to Bradshawgate in Bolton at about 4.45pm following reports that a car was in collision with a pedestrian.
"The pedestrian was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from a broken leg."
Amir Khan has been recently training in preparation for his fight against Colin Bain in Cardiff on July 8.
