Bolton boxer Amir Kahn would move to America
Bolton boxer Amir Khan says he would be prepared to move to America if by doing so he would get a top coach.
21-year-old Khan has recently ended his working partnership with Oliver Harrison and wants to find someone to replace him, and if that means an American then so be it.
Amir Khan explained: "I'd like an American coach to come over here but if it came down to the fact that I had to go to America, I'd do that. I'd like to take that chance. It'd be a different atmosphere over there and a different environment to learn in."
Dean Powell will be in charge of coaching Khan for his next fight against Michael Gomez, which takes place in Birmingham on 21 June, although he is thought to be only on a short-term basis, with American coaches Buddy McGrit and Roger Mayweather among possible long-term replacements.
