Billy Corcoran says facing Carl Johanneson will be fight of the year Billy Corcoran reckons his bout with Carl Johanneson for the vacant British super featherweight title on Wednesday could well be the fight of the year.
Wembley's Billy Corcoran, 25, has lost only one of his 16 professional fights while Leeds' carl Johanneson, same age, has won 23 of his 25 paid encounters.
Billy Corcoran said: "I just want to get in there and have a tear-up.
"A lot of people have said that this is going to be the fight of the year - and I think they could be right."
Billy Corcoran added: "I don't like to take a backward step. Neither does Johanneson. I am going to take everything he has got and come back with more.
"I think I am going to win the British title and as I have already said, I don't think the fight will go the distance."
