Welsh athlete Tim Benjamin admits he missed a doping test

tim Welsh athlete Tim Benjamin says he can sympathise with world 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu who has been in trouble for missing drugs tests and he admitted that he has done this too.

In November, Christine Ohuruogu overturned a ban for missing three drugs tests, which means she can go on to take part in next year's Olympic Games.

Tim Benjamin, who is also a 400m runner like Christine Ohuruogu, feels the public have misjudged her case and he went on to say that the he has one missed test against his name as well.

Tim Benjamin says that he has made an effort to tell the testers where he is going to be and he claimed that he does see a need for the doping tests in sport.

"It's a very strict system, but one I think is needed. The problem is that it's not across all countries and that's something that every athlete would like to get the public to understand," Tim Benjamin said.
