UK marathon runner Paula Radcliffe to run in New York
British athlete and marathon runner Paula Radcliffe is going to take part in the New York Marathon to defend the title she had claimed last year.
34-year-old Radcliffe won the race in 2004 as well and she is hoping to put the poor result when she only came 23rd in the marathon at the Olympic Games in the past.
Paula Radcliffe had nevertheless put on a brave performance even though she didn't claim a higher position because she had decided to run although she wasn't completely recovered from a stress fracture of her left femur.
Radcliffe won the marathon in 2007 only 10 months after having her first baby and will be hoping she can repeat her success on 2 November.
Radcliffe is first of all hoping to get a warm-up race before she competes in New York and she is feeling optimistic about the race in America.
