UK Athletics boss David Moorcroft tips Lord Coe for leading role
The UK Athletics chief executive David Moorcroft thinks that Lord Coe can play a significant role in leading and shaping the sport.
David Moorcroft is due to retire from his position and there is the possibility that Lord Coe will be heading the organisation as chairman alongside a new chief executive, although his responsibilities as head of London 2012 rules him out of the latter job.
David Moorcroft said: "Seb has a lot of experience and a lot of talent, and I'm sure he'll be heavily involved in helping athletics in the coming years."
And Sue Campbell, chair of UK Sport, considers enough funding is now in place for British athletes to build towards a successful 2012.
"We presented the business plan to the Chancellor and got an extra £300m, so we now have just over £620m to prepare athletes for 2012," Sue Campbell said.
