Sprinter Simeon Williamson to run alongside Dwain Chambers
British sprinter Simeon Williamson has been chosen to take part in the 60m alongside Dwain Chambers at next month's World Indoor Championships.
Simeon Williamson, 22, had already been training with controversial athlete Dwain Chambers this season, and now he has been selected for the second wave of British selections for the Valencia event on 7-9 March.
Dwain Chambers, who had served a two-year ban for doping, made sure of his selection by winning the trials from Simeon Williamson.
UK Athletics didn't want Dwain Chambers raking part because of his past offence history but due to the selection criteria for the event they had "no room to take any other decision".
Simeon Williamson is happy for Dwain Chambers to be given a chance again and said: "Dwain has done his time and I have no problem with him running."
