Marathon runner Tracey Morris may miss London Marathon
Marathon runner Tracey Morris is concerned that due to a knee injury she may have to miss the London Marathon in April.
Holyhead-born Tracey Morris, 39, became famous for finishing as the highest-placed British runner three years ago and her performance at that time got her chosen as the first British woman for the 2004 Olympic Games.
However, the injury suffered last October, and from which Tracey Morris is still recovering, means that it is a battle against time for her to be fit enough for the forthcoming marathon.
"I'm hoping things have now turned a corner and we'll see what preparations I can get under my belt in the next 10 weeks," said Tracey Morris.
"Obviously, everything will depend on how things go when I start serious training again this weekend.
"I want to do London, as it is the trial race for the world championships in August, which I'm very keen to do," Tracey Morris added.
