Mara Yamauchi leads Great Britain's World Road-Running bid
Commonwealth 10,000m bronze medallist Mara Yamauchi is leading Great Britain's challenge at the World Road-Running Championships in Hungary on 8 October.
Mara Yamauchi, 33, has been included in every endurance team on the road, track and country for the last two years.
Mara Yamauchi will be joined by Susan Partridge, former Australian athlete Natalie Harvey and Wendy Jones, but the last-named must first prove her fitness.
For the second year in succession, Great Britain will not be sending a male team to the event.
"Nobody achieved the individual qualifying time in Glasgow," said Spencer Barden, UKA senior co-ordinator for endurance.
"With a number of key athletes making themselves unavailable, we were unable to justify the selection of a men's team."
Commonwealth marathon bronze medallist Liz Yelling has decided not to take part in the championships because she will be a contestant in the Berlin Marathon on 24 September instead.
