Justin Gatlin's coach Trevor Graham banned from US Olympic centres
Olympic champion Justin Gatlin's controversial coach Trevor Graham has been banned from using US Olympic Committee training centres and using their facilities.
The ban covers the use of three official training centres and 12 training sites as well as their high-performance services.
US Olympic Committee chairman Peter Ueberroth said the decision was based on the high number of athletes that Trevor Graham has been the coach for and who have been convicted of doping offences.
Justin Gatlin tested positive for testosterone in April.
But Trevor Graham's lawyer Joseph Zeszotarski said: "There is no basis for any ban - Trevor will pursue all legal avenues."
Trevor Graham, whose athletes have been banned from participating in next month's Berlin Golden League meeting, also coached Tim Montgomery, Alvin and Calvin Harrison, Michelle Collins and Patrick Jarrett, and all of them received doping suspensions.
World Anti-Doping Agency leader Dick Pound praised the USOC ban and said: "This is the first time they have sent a strong message of this nature."
