Athlete Dwain Chambers is in the Great Britain squad
British sprinter Dwain Chambers has been allowed to be part of the Great Britain squad for next month's World Indoor Championships.
Dwain Chambers, 29, who had been disgraced and banned from taking part in athletics for two years after testing positive for a banned substance, will now be running over 60m in Spain but there are those who are not happy with this decision.
UK Athletics were against Dwain Chambers being selected for the three-day event in Valencia because of his past doping record.
However, Dwain Chambers had won last weekend's trials, and so the selectors had no option really but to take him for the team.
A delighted Dwain Chambers said: "I'm delighted by the decision that was made. I want to thank the selectors for what I know was a hard decision for themselves to make."
But the selectors said in a statement that they had only approved Dwain Chambers to be included under the duress of the situation.
Dwain Chambers had surprised the world of sport, and in particular UKA, by making a return to the track last month.
