Jo Pavey goes for the 10,000m at summer World Championships
Jo Pavey intends increasing the distance she will run when she competes in the 10,000m at this summer's World Championships, which are held in Osaka.
British runner Jo Pavey, 33, will be concentrating on getting ready for the summer event after she takes part in the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham in March, where she is running the 3,000m.
"I've never done the (10,000m) distance before, so that will be something new for me," explained Jo Pavey.
And Jo Pavey, commenting on her preparations and plans said: "I'm planning to get the world 10km qualifier at the European challenge meeting in Italy."
Jo Pavey has been named in the Great Britain team for the World Cross-Country Championships in Mombassa, Kenya on 24 March but she says she will not be taking part if she has any concerns about her fitness.
