Phoenix Suns win as LA Lakers star Kobe Bryant ejected from game
LA Lakers star Kobe Bryant was ejected from the game when Phoenix Suns won 114-97, which cut the Lakers' lead to 3-2 in the NBA play-offs first-round series.
First of all, the Phoenix Suns shooting guard Raja Bell was ejected for close lining Bryant midway through the fourth quarter and soon after this Kobe Bryant was sent off too, after receiving his second technical foul with 3:11 left to play.
In spite of leaving the game early on, Kobe Bryant had a high 29 points and pulled down seven rebounds to put the LA Lakers in the lead.
However, down by 23 and with Kobe Bryant ejected, LA Lakers coach Phil Jackson threw in the towel, setting his sights on a game six home court showdown.
Boris Diaw, who had been voted the NBA's most improved player of the year, was leader for the Phoenix Suns and narrowly missed out on a playoff triple-double with 25 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
